  • Stimulates and relaxes the vertebrae form the neck to the base of spine.
  • Provides relief of tension and stiffness throughout the back
  • Develops the chest and bust and strengthens the muscles of the vack and buttocks.
  • Aids general improvement in posture.

  1. Lie on abdomen with face resting on cheek and arms by side. Close eyes allow body to go completely limp.  Turn head so that forehead rests on the floor.
  2. Using only neck muscles slowly raise head upwards and backwards as far as is comfortable.
  3. Keep your head back and slowly raise your trunk from the floor as far as you can, using only back muscles.
  4. When you have raised up as far as you can go, bring your hands in from sides and place them beneath your upper chest, fingers of both hands pointing towards one another.
  5. Now using your hands for support, slowly raise your trunk as far from floor as you can, your spine must be continually curved during the raising and your head must be held back. Feel each vertebra stretch during this movement, stop stretching when becomes uncomfortable.
  6. The ultimate position will be when abdomen is raised from the floor and body is resting on the groin. However far you can get in this posture hold motionless for 10 seconds, working eventually up to 20 seconds.
  7. At the completion of this count, slowly lower your trunk making sure it is continually curved as you come down, your head moves slowly forward.
  8. When you can support your trunk without the aid of your hands, return them to your side.
  9. Continue to lower your trunk and head, when your forehead touches the floor, pause for a moment and turn your check to rest on the floor. Relax for about a minute and repeat posture two more times.

Strings in the Earth and Air

STRINGS in the earth and air

Make music sweet;

Strings by the river where

The willows meet.

There's music along the river

For Love wanders there,

Pale flowers on his mantle,

Dark leaves on his hair.

All softly playing,

With head to the music bent,

And fingers straying

Upon an instrument.

Come Away With Me

Come away with me in the night

Come away with me

And I will write you a song

Come away with me on a bus

Come away with me where they can't tempt us

With their lies

I want to walk with you

On a cloudy day

In fields where the yellow grass grows knee high

Won't you try to come

Come away with me and we'll kiss

On a mountain top

Come away with me

And I will never stop loving you

[scats]

I want to wake up with the rain

Falling on a tin roof

While I'm safe there in your arms

All I ask of you is to come

Come away with me and we'll kiss

On a mountain top

Come away with me

And I will never stop loving you

Come away with me

Come away with me

Come away with me
